REMEMBERING VETS OR MAKING MONEY?

When did Veteran's Day, designed to honor those brave men and women who fought to preserve our freedom, become just another "big sales day"? There were probably as many or more people in the malls as were braving cold weather to remember and appreciate the vets. Is it not enough that merchants have changed Thanksgiving from a family event to just "the day after Black Friday"? Have we forgotten our heritage and our roots? I know that most merchants can't wait for Christmas when they will gather in the money in an economy that is supposed to be depressed.
