CELL PHONES AND TURN SIGNALS
Ran into a situation last night in which two bad driving habits, talking on the cell phone and not using turn signals, could have resulted in an accident. Pulling up on a cross street to turn left onto a frontage road, with my turn signal on, there was another car on far right side of the same street. Even though the other driver didn't have a right hand turn signal on one would assume that he was going to turn right from that lane. When I pulled up beside him to turn left, he rolled down the window, turned away from his cell phone for just a second and shouted angrily "I'm turning left." Not one to argue with an idiot, I let him turn in front of me. I admit I was very tempted to follow after him and, if he stopped, make a few comments. But I'm smarter than that. The lesson I learned was never to trust anyone who doesn't use their turn signals even though you think you know what they are going to do.
