PRAY FOR OKLAHOMA

Having lived in Southwest Missouri, in the eastern end of "tornado alley", I can understand what the folks in Oklahoma are going through. Although I never was in a tornado I was on edge several times as the storm sirens blared. Many of the smaller towns around Springfield, where I lived, suffered from tornado damage, most memorable Joplin. I volunteered at a center in Stockton, MO, (in photo)
which was severely damaged and saw the unbelievable damage a tornado can do. If I still lived in Springfield I'm sure I would end up in Oklahoma this week since my church there, Schweitzer United Methodist, had an organized and trained disaster team that goes where disasters hit. All I can do now, living in the Desert Southwest, is to join all my fellow Christians in praying for those who were injured, the families of those killed, and all who lost all their possessions in the "devil wind." Please join us in praying for Oklahoma.
