It occurred to me while while shopping today at a busy Fry’s supermarket that driving a grocery cart can be just as stressful as driving a car. First of all, you need to get a cart that will drive straight (like a car). Then you have to give the right-of-way when required to. You must also not block lanes. And it would help to signal lane changes and quick stops (particularly bad at the ice cream case). Watch the speed limit, etc. A sign of just how stressful driving a grocery cart in a supermarket crowded with seniors was apparent upon exiting the store. There was a fire truck and ambulance waiting at the curb.
