FACE TO FACE WITH A MOUNTAIN LION

I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised when I walked into the office where I volunteer in Yuma, AZ and came face to face with the critter shown above. After all it is the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Wildlife Refuge regional office. Luckily the mountain lion who mans the front desk was not alive but the excellent work of a taxidermist. I can imagine that the it might frighten anyone caught in the office once the sun goes down and the lights are turned off. Needless to say, the Wildlife Office office is an interesting place to work.
