ASSAULT OF THE GIANTS

Sometimes in Yuma, when watching a war movie on TV, you might feel you are in the middle of a war. If a fleet of Sikorsky Super Stallion helicopters from the Marine Corps Air Station fly low overhead at the same time a couple of the big diesel trucks in the neighborhood go by you can feel your house shake. Some of the diesel trucks sound amazingly like tanks. I guess you need a lot of power to tow a 35 foot fifth wheel over the Continental Divide. If an earthquake happens to strike near Mexicali, Mexico, about the same time (as is known to happen) it can be a really scary experience. Happily, these three sources of turmoil don't come together very often.
