LET THE WORLD KNOW

What is it about talking on a cell phone that seems to isolate people from the real world? If not in another world why would they talk, in hard-to-ignore tone of voice, about their problems and the problems of others? Sitting in a meeting room at an RV resort, along with several other people, we all heard about the apparent marital problems of a woman’s daughter blended with details of the woman’s own marital life that most would not want to reveal. Like many people who use cell phones this woman was talking louder than she needed to with the improved circuitry of today’s cell phones. Even though someone might be thousands of miles away there really is no need to raise your voice; the electrons should take care of getting the message there. At one point in that room there were three separate cell phone conversations going on. It sure makes it hard for a fellow, because of the chatter, to learn about everybody’s life.
