APPRECIATING CLOUDS

The Yuma Visitor's Bureau claims that the weather here is so good that it can boast of 340 days of sun each year. Without keeping a record I figure that's just about right. That's one of the reasons that the Marine Corps Air Station is located here: great year-round flying weather. Those of us who live all year in Yuma don't mind a few cloudy days because they produce beautiful displays such as that at left. Needless to say such days also provide outstanding sunsets. The sunrises and sunsets are just one of the many benefits of living in the desert.
