SPRING IN THE DESERT

It is spring in Yuma, AZ. I know because new life is springing up everywhere. I can look out my window and see the palm tree in a neighbor's yard which is host to a very small hummingbird nest. That nest is home to two tiny hummingbirds just beginning to sprout wings and still relying on momma for dinner. Momma hummingbird was not far away watching as I photographed her brood, staying far away and using a zoom lens so as not to frighten them. My wife and I look forward to the day when they will be visiting our feeder.
